Sponsored by Fujian Provincial People's Government and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and jointly organized by Fujian Provincial Department of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation, Fujian Province Economic & Trade Commission, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Fujian Sub-council, and Fuzhou Municipal People's Government, the Commodities Fair Fujian China (CFFC), one of the national prior fairs admitted by the Ministry of Commerce, is a professional fair held on May 18-22 annually in Fuzhou, China, featuring the characteristics of Fujian province. 
The theme of the CFFC was commodity exhibition, trading and business and investment attraction. It gave prominence to internationalization, regionalization, and marketization, and pursue efficient trading, with a form of commodities fair and business meetings for exhibitors and visitors, and is committed to delivering the perfect and all-around services to participants, and building the foreign economic and trade cooperation platform for the economic zone on west bank of the Taiwan Straits, and promoting the regional trade and economic fair in Southeast China for considerable international influence.
The 7th Commodities Fair Fujian China (hereinafter referred to as the Commodity Fair) lowered its curtain in Fuzhou Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center, China on May 22, 2010 and achieved a complete success.

Occupying a total floor area of 31,000 square meters, the 7th Commodity Fair has nearly doubled the exhibition area over the previous one. It has set up 3 exhibition halls, respectively are “Equipment Manufacturing Hall”, “Export Base Brand Hall” and “Asia Consumer Expo Hall”. Having 1,600 international standard exhibition booths, the Commodity Fair has over 500 exhibitors, 34 overseas buyers groups, and more than 4000 professional overseas buyers. Comparing to previous exhibition achievement, the 7th Commodity Fair has the largest exhibition scale and most number of exhibitors. Moreover, the 7th Commodity Fair has achieved fine result in value of imports & exports, and domestic trade turnover: total export transaction value reached 71.92 million U.S. dollars, increased by 26.2% over value made in the previous exhibition; total import turnover reached 53.61 million U.S. dollars, up by 21.1% compared to value made in the previous one; total domestic trade turnover reached 316 million yuan, increased by 29.3% compared to value made in the previous one.
The Commodity Fair this year will highlight three main features as follows:
First, it will highlight the achievements of advanced manufacturing industries in Fujian.
Second, it will highlight the brand enterprise features of key commodity export bases in Fujian.
Third, it will highlight the economic and trade interaction between ASEAN Free Trade Area and the Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Taiwan Straits.

In the adaptation of the characteristics and situation of current international trade development, the Commodities Fair continues to optimize the enterprise participation and the exhibition structure; at the same time, it highlights the advantage of Fujian brand name products and industries, to present the brand name commodity of the west coast of Taiwan Straits, the traditional commodity, the electro-mechanical products, and to promote the interaction between investment and trade, imports and exports, and among free trade zones, so to effectively cope with the current impact of international financial crisis.
1.Exhibition Hall Arrangement
Covering an area of 20,000m2 with over 1,000 Standard Display Booths, the Commodities Fair Fujian China sprawls 3 exhibition halls and 2 professional areas, that is: Arts and Handicrafts Hall and Import Hall, Singapore Hall, Brand Product Hall, Professional Outdoor Area and Service Function Area. Arts and Handicrafts Hall and Import Hall have 250 Standard Display Booths, that displays unique handicrafts in the Economic Zone on the west coast of Taiwan Straits such as ceramics, resin, oil paintings, bamboo and wood products, vein and iron products, bodiless lacquer, woven articles and ornaments etc., and also displays high-quality import commodities mainly from the ASEAN, Japan, Korea, France, Australia and so on; Singapore Hall has 240 Standard Display Booths, that are mainly for Singapore brand enterprises and commodities; Brand Product Hall has 255 Standard Display Booths, that involves 5 industries like Advanced Electro-Mechanical Technology, Cloth & Garments, Arts and Handicrafts, Household Articles, and Food Products, to represent the advantage of brand name commodities of the Economic Zone on the west coast of Taiwan Straits; covering an area of 3,620m2, the booths of Professional Outdoor Area displays automobiles and large machines from Fujian well-known enterprises; Service Function Area has 38 Standard Display Booths, that establishes business service section and business negotiation area.
2.Major Characteristics
a)Establish Singapore Hall for the inaugural move: the Commodities Fair for the first time establishes Singapore Hall, in order to better utilize the China-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (CSFTA), to enhance the economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and Singapore, and to overall promote and advertise Singapore. This is the first time for a 5000 m2 hall to be taken over by the nation from Fujian Province to set up a special exhibition. Jointly organized by the Singapore Consulate-General in Xiamen and Singapore Manufacturers Federation, there will be over 100 exhibitors from enterprises in Singapore and Singapore enterprises invested in China, with industry covering food, furniture, stone, machinery, electronics, petrochemical, education, tourism, finance, medicine, medical treatment, etc. Exhibitors include International top enterprises from Singapore, such as Singapore Airlines, Hyflux Group, Development Bank of Singapore, Singapore Exchange and so on, as well as well-known enterprises from Fujian, such as Riyuegu Hotsprings Resort, Suntar Membrane Technology, Thye Chuan Industries and so on. During the exhibition, there will be Singapore Investment and Trade Promotion Seminar, China-Singapore Free Trade Agreement Symposium and many other activities.
b)Further underline the brand cultivation: After 7 successive years of successful Commodity Fair, it has a growing tendency for brand effect. In continues to pursue the implementation of brand leading strategy proposed by Fujian provincial party committee and Fujian provincial government, the Commodities Fair will exhibit hundreds of brand name products in Fujian Province, advertise the image of the brand name enterprises, to bring brand exhibition, brand advertisement, brand cultivation into full play, in order to mutually promote the brand name of enterprises, the Commodity Fair, and the West Coast of Taiwan Straits.
c)Focus on demonstrating the advantage of industrial clusters in the Economic Zone on the West Coast of Taiwan Straits: with the central support from the government in the development of the Economic Zone on the West Coast of Taiwan Straits, the Commodity Fair becomes a major exhibition stage for competitive industries in the Economic Zone on the West Coast of Taiwan Straits. The 6th Commodities Fair not only exhibit products with distinguishing geographical characteristics such as the traditional competitive products, consumer goods, ceramics, oil paintings, resin ornaments and many others in Fujian Province, but also exhibit products with unique industrial clusters in the west coast of Taiwan Straits, such as Jingdezhen porcelain of Jiangxi Province, consumer goods of Ningbo city in Zhejiang Province, electronic goods of Guangdong Province, etc.
d)Expand the scale of outdoor area, to demonstrate the manufacture industry level in Fujian: the Commodities Fair continues to expand the scale of outdoor area from 500m2 of last year to 3620m2 this year. In addition to the exhibition of construction machinery industry in Fujian Province, the automobiles industry is added in this year. Exhibitors include famous Fujian enterprises in mechanical equipment and automobile manufacture, such as Xiagong Group, Longgong Group, South East Motor, Xiamen King Long Motor, and so on, fully demonstrating the top-end manufacture industry in Fujian Province.
